The cynic may be in your face for a
while and smirk at your childlike faith
but faith is exactly what works .Cynics are always bystanders ,who never did
anything extraordinary themselves. You do
not have to listen to them,necessarily.Your
positive mental attitude is the little difference that makes the big difference.
This difference makes or breaks you.It is a magical admixture of
determination,faith,calmness in the face of adversity,persistence and fortitude
to stand up in the face of challenges. Most frequently, the end result is
success;which the same cynic and his ordinary associates would term “luck”.But luck
is the result of a lot of churning and milking which results in success.And success
is preparation and right circumstances coming together.This confluence of hard
work ,preparation,persistence,and opportunity may be pure “luck” for others ,but
not you.The successful man has a blanket of positiveness,weaved from a fabric of unwavering detachment.Without detachment you cannot be positive, and success is likely to remain an uphill toil.

It’s a fact that achieving anything
worthwhile demands you make a swift attack for the jugular.Any thing worth
having in life is worth working for.The successful man exploits his talents

expertise and knowhow in improving his personal and social well being.Whether it is in the field of creativity,innovation,science,sport,business,or
any other uncommon field, it is pure diligence which works to your benefit.Hard

So much of toil and work can prove taxing
,tiring,and draining ,unless accompanied with requisite zest and;most
importantly –detachment.Detachment gives you the space to breathe,to look at a
situation objectively.It knocks out the subjectivity from your uphill grind and
allows you to take a holistic view of your situation.You can afford to digest
the invariable highs and lows of your effort when you remain detached.
Expectation
Expect the the best to unfold for
you.Expect without that nervous,clinging
obsession ,which is essentially a waste of life energy.Expect with a detached
attitude .Whenever you expect with detachment,and
a relaxed heart you might be amazed to see how it becomes increasingly effortless to acquire
your goals .It is a known fact that when you
try too hard ,nervously,obsessively to accomplish or acquire something you increase your degree of difficulty.You waste
your effort.There is a Zen saying “the
grass doesn’t try to grow ,it just grows”. Effortlessness is natures way,then
who are you to violate it?

| NATURE FUNCTIONS WITH EFFORTLESS EASE |
Remember the story of the sun and
the wind? The sun and the wind once decided to compete in making a man remove
his shawl.It was a chilly day and the
man was hurrying on the road ,clutching his shawl tightly.The wind began
to blow hard,playfully ,but the man just
clutched his shawl tighter. Then the wind began blowing harder,and harder.In
response the man only stubbornly held on to his shawl tighter.The wind was at full
gale force ,when it finally gave up .The man,by now,had simply taken shelter
behind a huge boulder ,holding on to the shawl for dear life.The wind was
distraught,fatigued ,beaten,drained and defeated.It was the sun’s turn now.The sun
came out from behind the clouds,smiling detachedly,and began to shine
brightly,without force,without effort,calmly.The man realized it was getting hotter
by the minute .He quickly removed his shawl,folded it and put it in his
basket.The sun won without undue force,with a detached approach.This is ,perhaps,just
what we all need in life.Expectation, a bit of detachment from the specific result; and lo and behold your work
is done .
Problems Are Opportunities
All adversity is opportunity in work
clothes.Within the adversity is the potential to reap it’s benefit ,provided one is able to see possibilities open to us .And
seeing is a learned skill .You only have to be willing to see ,and the more you
try to see with a creative eye the more will you be able to find opportunity
under the ‘hood’ of life.So you, yourself are responsible for the vision you
bring to a situation .Your vision will
dictate whether you will travel far, or stop short of the start point
itself.The Good Book says “seek and ye shall find”.This advice is as good today
as in the day it was handed down to mankind, by a very enlightened person.

Don’t forget that adversity is only
the wrapping paper around your opportunity .There are ,indeed acres of diamonds
in your backyard,and there are many, many backyards which you haven’t yet
discovered.Only your detached vision will help you uncover your treasure.
If you are detached enough ,you just might find your wrapping paper close by.
