LOL LAUGH LAUGH!!

..but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.

 Proverbs 15:15

Laughter is your divine right.Consider it your duty to laugh at least  five times a day.More is even better. You owe it to your body,to your system. You invest  in happiness in every moment of laughter.
Laughter is the wonderdrug which can transport you to  bliss-land in split seconds.According to clinical studies, the amount of longevity hormones released while laughing out heartily, equal or surpass the same hormones released while working out.The overall feeling of well being is even better.

Laughter has no accent

Laughter is a common string running through diverse cultures. It is a spark of the spirit that conflagarates into “fire de merriment” in no time. In short one of the cheapest pills to kill disappointment and general unhappiness, laughter, has one of the most beneficial effects:-
  • Reduces  stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline.Adrenaline drops by 70%,and cortisol by 39% while laughing.
  • Improves alertness, creativity, and memory
  • Increases memory and learning; in a study at Johns Hopkins University Medical School, humor during instruction led to increased test scores
  • Improves  tumor- and disease-killing cells such as Gamma-interferon and T-cells
  • Defends against respiratory infections and reduces the frequency of colds.
  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Increases  vascular blood flow and oxygenation of the blood
  • Works out the diaphragm , abdomen, respiratory, facial, leg, and back muscles

How do you elevate yourself through laughter?

Laugh at yourself. Don’t take yourself too seriously at all times. You are allowed to be less than perfect.
Laugh at situations. Look for the  irony and absurdity of life.
  • Have reminders to cheer up like funny pics,or screensavers.
  • Maintain a balanced outlook especially toward things beyond your control
  • Join a “laughter yoga” class.

“The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter.” Mark Twain

  •  Emulate children and their tendency to laugh and cheer up quickly

  • Goof around with children.
  • Do something hilarious
  • Read  humourous literature.
  • Spend more time with funny people.
  • Read and crack  rib tickling jokes.
  • Invest time in your library’s humor section.
  • Play with a pet.
  • Regularly watch  funny movies.
  • Join a  comedy club.

Laughter is also unique in cementing bonds(make no mistake, when you laugh with others you are  fondly remembered). It imparts flexibility immediately and has a long lasting effect.

So next time you step out  just go ahead ‘n flash that smiley badge at every one in the street.
