NATURAL URGE ,UNNATURAL RESULTS; CONSTANT SEARCH FOR APPROVAL

DISAPPROVAL IS NOT A CATASTROPHE
The urge to constantly seek approval,to seek applause for our selves is an omnipresent weakness. It is concealed deeply and subtly within the unseen folds of our intentions. We are always looking out for others to acknowledge us,our behaviour, our conduct ,our appearance, our mannerisms, our knowledge, our possessions.
It is almost as if having all these ancillary adjuncts of our human life is only meant for finding acceptance and approval. An advanced stage is seeking approval through these, and an even more advanced stage is  constantly seeking applause and praise. We are in perpetual search mode,to conform,to fit in.We are unsure of ourselves;therefore we live on borrowed beliefs. We do not even know who these people are; who have set these standards of praise and conformity.Nor do we  question whether our blind follower-ship is a worthy cause at all, in the first place.

Limiting, and confining.Very,very limiting.

Seriously, sometime soon, we need to sit down calmly and examine our proclivities. Why must we always be on "show"?Who are these people from whom we seek constant applause? How important is it really? What if we don't get that approval and praise? What if we do,then what?Where is our genuine self hidden? How is this mindset contributing to our,or anyone else's progress?

An entire lifetime flits by,and we don't comprehend,we don't realise what we have been doing. It's good to wake up early.

Even if it takes a thwack on the head to do so.
